We
have realised the value of our collection of hymns and songs in
PowerPoint format and so want to offer and extend this. In particular
we want you to tell us what you want.
Although the list is not yet complete, we have placed the first batch of hymns and songs on-line.
We have nearly brought Year 2 up to date and have completed 2 months of
Year 1.
There will be a collection of songs for each of year of IDEAS:
- Year
1 will contain all the hymns and songs that we offered through IDEAS
from July 2010 until the end of June 2011.
- Year
2 will contain all the hymns we offer between July 2011 until the
end of June 2012. In addition from November there will be 5 hymns and
songs each week that are nominated by our users. Each week (subject to
copyright consent) we will add the 5 hymns or songs that are the most
nominated by our users.
- Year
3 and subsquent years will continue the pattern of offering the hymns
from IDEAS for that year plus the 5 nominated songs each week.
The cost will be £25 for access to the current year's collection of
songs and access to previous years are £15. Existing IDEAS members
should note that they will
automatically gain access to the IDEAS Collection for the months they
have bought and will also be able to nominate hymns and songs at no
extra cost.
There are many advantages to working this way:
- All our hymns and songs are supplied as "ready to
use" PowerPoint files with photographic backgrounds. They can be
quickly inserted into your own presentation using either the "Insert
Slide from Files" command (2002/3) or "Reuse Slides" command (2007/10).
There is no complex editing required to make use of them.
- You are not tying yourself to a single hymnbook. Our
hymns and songs are available in multiple versions to match a range of
hymnbooks. You do not need to spend a large sum of money on new
hymnbooks.
- At a time when new hymns and songs are being written
each week you are not locking yourself into a selection for the next 30
years.
- Because we are the Family Friendly Churches trust we offer a wide range of great children's songs.
- The collection will remain permanently on the web
site so you will be able to download the hymns and songs as you need
them, rather than holding them on your own system. This means that you
can access them on any machine when you wish.
- Because it is user driven the collection will contain the hymns that you want rather than what we think you should sing.

Purchasing IDEAS indicates that you agree to our conditions.
If
you
sign up as an
individual
then you are welcome to use the material at any church where you are
leading worship, but please do not foward any material downloaded from
IDEAS to any one else for use in a church where you are not personally
leading worship.
You can forward IDEAS material to the team who are
operating the technology - provided that they are made aware that they
cannot pass it on or use it
anywhere else.
Do not pass the annual passwords onto any one
else.
To
display
the words of hymns
etc. downloaded from IDEAS your church will still need to be signed up
to the CCLI licence and will need to declare the use of IDEAS material.
We
reserve
the right to
cancel
your subscription if these conditions are violated. Please support the
work of the trust by
keeping to these conditions.
